What are you doing and why? My group is doing a performance on the poem Boy and Egg. I chose to do this poem because I felt like it was something that I could relate to in parts and that would help me to write about the topic better. What aspects of the poem will you highlight in your performance? Some aspects of this poem that I will highlight in my performance are how much this egg really means to him and how the bigger kids in the poem did not include him in the games they were playing.

Guarino  B period  Literature  In the poem Boy and Egg I interpreted it as a story of a young boy entertaining himself in his own ways when other children would not include him in certain things, like the games they would play. It also showed how the small boy really wanted to play with the bigger kids. The emotion in this story is sadness and loneliness, some lines in this poem that lead me to believe this includes the line “while the other children laughed and ran with a ball, leaving him”. As you read this line it makes you wonder why this young man was excluded from the games that the other kids were playing. Most likely for not a good reason. The next line explains “so little, to forgetful in games, ready to cry if the ball brushed him”. Even though these are reasons that he was not allowed to play in the game they are not valid because all of them are not important to having fun and even if he wasn’t as good as the other kids or so much smal...

I think my final draft turned out well. At first I didn't have much of the information that I have now. I would try to explain the artists feelings but it was a bit hard to explain. I found it difficult to figure out much to write about this song in the beginning of the project. Some of my strengths/what was easy on the final essay I would say is actually writing about this topic in general, this is because I chose my favorite song and I don't mind sitting and writing about it If I could work more on my essay I would use better grammar to make the reader understand it better and not have it be as choppy. 3 things on the rubric I may get top points on is 1 having it in on time, 2 having 500-600 words and 3 quotes are discussed and analyzed in body paragraphs. 3 things I may lose points on is 1 having endings for body paragraphs 2 thesis is specific and 3 creative title

The song also makes the listener feel the different emotions that the song offered all the way throughout the performance. The emotions felt are different at different parts in the song. The very pronounced emotions that I felt in this song are along the lines of happiness and sadness. Even though happiness and sadness are very different emotions Juice Wrld does a very good job in letting you feel these different emotions throughout the song. I thought that my groups overall performance was pretty good. One thing that we struggled with was staying with an original plan during the performance. However memorizing the part was a lot easier to do than I thought it would be.
