School of Rock review

Tom Fox Ms. Guarino 3/1/20 Review: School Of Rock School Of Rock starts off with a comedic performance from a small band who are competing with each other for the spotlight. The lead singer tries making it clear to the guitarist that she is not the star. The overall plot of this story is the woman who started off the play as the lead guitar player is kicked out of the band and is looking for work and gets a call from a prep school asking her to fill in as a substitute music teacher for good pay and an unknown amount of time. She shows up very late the first day making a questionable first impression asking about ridiculous things like getting paid before she works and leaving the school day early. However after teaching for a bit she finds out that the students have a lot of potential and she forms a rock band.  I think that the lighting and the way the actors were portrayed was perfect for the mood and energy that was trying to be communicated with the audience. Act ii

Walter is still fed up with the money situation so he turns to alcohol to cope with his feelings but he comes home acting like a fool making fun of beneatha Beneatha and Ruth are trying to learn more about their African heritage from George Walter continues being upset and starts arguments picking on multiple different people Walter and Ruth sort of make up and begin talking softly towards each other  Walter quickly gets angry again when mama started to ignore him. Mama announces that she took the insurance money and bought a house for the family Walter expresses to mama how upset he is with her decision
