Tom Fox Ms. Guarino 3/1/20 Review: School Of Rock School Of Rock starts off with a comedic performance from a small band who are competing with each other for the spotlight. The lead singer tries making it clear to the guitarist that she is not the star. The overall plot of this story is the woman who started off the play as the lead guitar player is kicked out of the band and is looking for work and gets a call from a prep school asking her to fill in as a substitute music teacher for good pay and an unknown amount of time. She shows up very late the first day making a questionable first impression asking about ridiculous things like getting paid before she works and leaving the school day early. However after teaching for a bit she finds out that the students have a lot of potential and she forms a rock band. I think that the lighting and the way the actors were portrayed was perfect for the mood and energy that was trying to be communicated with the audience. The l...
