Setting:This play takes place in the Mallard's penthouse in New York in the year 2019. Mr.Mallard goes on a business trip to LA where he tragically dies in a plane crash. His funeral is held at a cemetery in New York
Plot:After Mr. Mallard dies in a plane crash when he was leaving on business everyone is left feeling very sad especially Mrs. Mallard, his wife. His friend Ricards who works for the local news knew about this before it was released publicly so he helped deliver the news along with Mrs.Mallards sister,Josephine. After Mrs. Mallards gathers her thoughts she finally plans his funeral.after a few long weeks leading up to the funeral it finally comes. As she is looking around Mrs. Mallard knows most of the people there except for a few of her husbands friends that she never met. She then sees a woman who won't stop staring at her so she walks up and starts a conversation. the woman apologizes first and then continues describing the situation about how he had a second life and understanding how difficult this must've been on Mrs.Mallard. Mrs.Mallard instead of becoming upset mourned the loss of her husband with someone in the same position as her.
